Just a little New Year's note to say I'm still alive and I haven't been carried away with all the holiday nonsense. The holidays were wonderful. Brannon was super extra good to the kids and me. Jacob got a Wii and Lauren got so many toys it will be next Christmas before she gets around to playing with them all. I received 2 pairs of gold hoop earrings (early) one pair white gold and the other pair yellow gold. I got a new couch and loveseat (early gifts also) and under the tree was a beautiful diamond bracelet and a Bulova watch that also has diamonds. I also received two new bird feeders that are squirrel proof. Brannon really shouldn't have, but I have to admit I am enjoying the gifts!!
We rang in the New Year together at a fun little get together with friends from our Sunday School. Brannon had to work New Year's eve and New Year's day, so I started cleaning the house. I don't think my office has ever been cleaner. The living room looks great too, now all I have to do is finish getting the Christmas boxes that are in the dining room up to the attic.
I'm job hunting. I am taking the next semester off from school. I already have a couple of things in the works. At the first temp agency I went to, they saw that I had paralegal experience and have a job they want me to interview for this week. I guess people with paralegal training are few and far between, rarely making appearences in their office, so when they do come along, they snatch them up pretty quickly. I have a feeling I won't have any problems finding a job. And the starting pay is great. I'm really only looking for part time work,so we'll see what pans out.
Brannon and I are planning a vacation for either the late part of Feb or early March. Alabama here we come. I've been to Alabama in passing, but never stayed long enough to visit. It will be fun and I can't wait to go.
So far 2008 has been completely wonderful. Brannon and I have so many things planned for the following year. We have plans for January, and Feb, March and April. Beyond April we have no plans yet...but stay tuned. More details on all the plans in following posts...
