Brannon and I had a lovely but short holiday weekend. During our weekend we thought it best to remove the purple from Jacob's bedroom walls. It is now a lovely shade of turd brown, light. The curtain(s) that we bought (we have one, the other is on back order) are hung. The furniture is arranged, and we have 1 shelf left to hang. Jacob's room is almost officially done.
Lauren's room however, is lacking...cleanliness, order, etc. It is NOT, however, lacking stuff. She has a pile of stuff animals that we will either put on the shelf (that we have the wood and the brackets for, but we haven't hung) that we are thinking about, or a stuffed animal hammock (which I have but is still packed in 1 of 500 boxes YET to be UNpacked). She has two dresser, one of which will be vacating her room in the very near future. The OTHER dresser needs some paint, or love, or both, and then we can fill it with clothes. The clothes, in the meantime, have taken up residence on every surface that stands still. The floor is the keeper of all other things random.
In other exciting news, during our alone time together, Brannon and I decided to do some grocery shopping, something that we rarely do as a couple. As in twice since we've met. While grabbing a 24 case of Diet Coke, I seemed to have agitated an already bothered incision sight. When I explained to Brannon that maybe I shouldn't have done that, he quickly informed me that I WOULD be calling the doctor immediately. I called Dr. Stein and Brannon and I went to his office that very afternoon. After much poking and prodding, Dr. Stein made an appointment for me to have a CT.
Barium really is more fun than one person should be allowed to have. Not only does it have a lovely orange chalky taste, the after effects are especially pleasant. 'Nough said.
Other than all that, I am enjoying the rain. I'm also enjoying the book I actually started while I waited for the barium to cake up my insides. It is a lovely book thus far, and Brannon is excited for me to finish it so we can discuss it. It'll be our own little book club think tank.
