Today the renters sign the final papers, give us this months rent (we got the deposit already) and move in. We still have our wheelbarrow, the leaf blower, and a trash can over there. I haven't gotten all the firewood I want, but we've meet the renters several times now and I don't think they'll have a problem with it.

Sunday Brannon bought me a hot tub. Talk about an event. Several months ago Brannon had a hitch put on his truck, but not the towing package. We realized we would not be able to get the hot tub in the back of the truck. My bestest best friend of all best friends, Steph, her dad has a 16 foot trailer, but we can't haul it with our pickup without a towing package. So we call my dad. Dad, can we use your Jeep Grand Cherokee (that has a 2 inch ball and towing package) to pick up Steph's dad's trailer? Sure. So we drive the 30 miles north to pick up the Jeep. Then Brannon drops me off at home to start laundry. Next he drives another 30 miles, this time east, to pick up the trailer. When he's got the trailer picked up, he then proceeds to drive the 45 miles southeast to Forsyth to pick up the hot tub. By the time he gets home, about 8 hours have gone by. We get the trailer taken off Dad's jeep and get his Jeep back to him that night. Unfortunately Brannon left his keys in Dad's Jeep, so tomorrow I have to drive to the airport to pick them up. (Dad works right next to the airport, which is about a 30 min drive for me.) Brannon said to hell with having a truck that can't pull anything, so he took the truck to work with him (I've had the truck the past week) and had the towing package put on. So Monday night we gather up all our neighbors and set the tub up in our backyard. The pad and electric was already there when we bought the house. Yesterday Brannon got most of the hot tub set up. If all goes well, we'll have it set up this weekend.

Since we had the trailer, we decided to use it to get the rest of the stuff from the Barnes house, such as Jake's basketball goal and some other heavy stuff. Then, in my brilliant way, backed the van into the trailer. I broke one of the taillights on the trailer (which was burnt out anyway) and did a number on the bumper of my van. NICE. Then I broke a stained glass picture that was given to me many moons ago. By the time we got back to this house, I was in tears. yeah, I could have done without all that, but I'm feeling better now. The house is such a wreck we can't talk about it. I've been busy trying to get life back to normal around this house now that we are almost but not officially done at the Barnes house. I'm tired.

I have big plans to finish unpacking this house once and for all and having a glorious rest of the summer.
