Jake is so much my child it's scary. As of late, he has been planning details of his life. The most recent...his first kiss. He has been asking me alot of questions, like, "Mom, how should I ask a girl out, since you are one." And I told him..."Well Jake, just ask. Just say to her ___________, will you go out with me?" Or, if you are feeling very bold and daring you could state first that you like her, and then ask her to go out with you. He was very skeptical about that. TELL HER I LIKE HER????? God forbid!! I told her I liked it very much when boys tell me they like me. I can't speak for all girls, but I prefer the direct appoarch. Just put it out there. Of course, the flip side to that is complete and total rejection, which is never a good thing. But if nothing else, it builds character, right? The reason he wants to ask girls out is he is just dying to experience that first kiss. He's got it all planned out in his head. He is thinking about things like the time of day it should be, if there should be a sunset, the location. Should he be on his wakeboard with her on her wakeboard hanging out? Should it be on the beach? Should he take her behind that tree over yonder? We went to the doctor today, he needed x rays for his back, and while he was there, they decided to go ahead and get his height and weight. He's very pleased that he is 4"9 these days. He asked me if I thought he would be taller than me. I assured him he would be. His dad isn't TALL TALL, but he's roughly 5"10, 5"11, I forget which. I'm almost 5"7, and Jake's grandfather is very tall. So...he's all about the ladies right now. I want to be able to tell him things and teach him things about women that he'll carry with him for life. I want him to be especially kind and patient with women. Having his sister Lauren around has really helped. I hope I'm doing right by him.

I am done now. I have nothing left to say. Jake and I have been jamming to Black Eyed Pea as of late. So here you go.
