I just have not had the time that I need to update this diary. I am at work right now and no one is in the office but me. I can't do any accounts payable until the mails comes this afternoon, so right now I am just answering the phones and working on a project that my boss gave me. It's mostly a bunch of typing and pretty mindless, I just need to get it done. Once I get to it, it shouldn't take me too long.
So far I really like my job. It's not terribly stressful and I am left alone to do my work. The hours are perfect for me too.
So much as been going on in my life. To make it completely offical, Brannon proposed to me on December 27th. Of course I said yes. It was so funny the way he asked. He didn't really. He said to me in the wee hours of morning, Marry me. Just like that. Wasn't a question really, he just said marry me. I thought he was joking at first or just being silly. I asked him finally if that was a real question, and he said for the love of all things holy woman, would you marry me already! I am asking you to marry me. And we were off to the races.
We are getting married April 27th, which is a Sunday. We are getting married sometime in the afternoon, I am guessing around 2. For the past several weeks Steph and I have been racking our brains trying to figure out where to have it. We aren't going to have a church wedding, we were hoping for something outside if the weather is nice, or have it inside at the same location if the weather got dicey. And last night I think Brannon and I came up with a pretty good solution. We could get married in our new house.
We put an offer on a house last night. It's a HUGE ASS HOUSE!! Upstairs we have a fairly large kitchen with a pantry and corrina countertops. The cupboards themselves are a little outdated, but that is something that Brannon can easily fix. There is an eat in kitchen and also a formal dining room. We think that for now we will use the formal dining room as our office or something like that. Then there are 3 large bedrooms upstairs on the main floor, one is a master bedroom with a master suite. It has two large closets and a shower and toilet. There is no tub in the master bedroom. There is a lovely living room upstairs as well with a wood burning fire place.
When you go downstairs most of the basement has been tiled. That had to have been very expensive. There is another fireplace downstairs and a bar. There are two more living areas downstairs. There is also a second master suite. The room is a little bit smaller but the closet is much larger and the bathroom is a little larger too. Brannon and I will take that bedroom and Jody and Patty will take the master bedroom upstairs. That serves two purposes, Jody will not have to worry about stairs of any kind, and Brannon and I will have much needed PRIVACY. Our bedroom will be right under the kids so all they would have to do is come down the stairs and there we are. Then there is a HUGE ASS play room for the kids with a monster sized walk in closet. The play room is probably the size of all 3 of the bedrooms in the house I own now all put together. Next to the play room is ANOTHER ROOM that could be used as a small office, a workshop, or a storage area. Brannon and I think the previous owners used it as a dark room. There is almost 3400 square hundred feet in the house. It is SO DAMN HUGE compared to what I have now.
The only thing that is not my favorite thing is the back yard. It's still a decent sized, but it is smaller than what I have now and it has a slope. We can fix the slope in time.
Brannon and I have decided this is the house we are going to buy (if they accept our offer of course), this is the house we are going to get married in, and this is the house we are going to live in until we die. So why not get married there? I bought my dress last weekend and I have Lauren's flowergirl dress. If everything goes well, if the inspection goes well, if the sellers accept our offer, if the next 20 things that have to happen actually happen they way they are supposed to happen, then we will close on the house February 21. That is a hell of a Valentine's gift. I'll take it.
