Moving day
November 02, 2007 -- 10:21 am

Greetings from campus. I have never posted from campus before. The last couple of days have been nuts for me. Yesterday from about 8:30 am until my head hit the pillow last night about 9:30, I have been moving. Literally, moving. Poor old Brannon was worried for a nano second last night that he had been robbed. He walked into the old apartment last night and the first thing he noticed was that his TV wasn't there. He thought to himself, oh crap, my tv's gone. Someone took it. Then he noticed that there was nothing in the apartment except his couch and coffee table. Uh huh, Tedra's been here. Yep. I was pooped last night. I feel asleep with no problems at all, but for some crazy reason I woke up this morning at about 3 am and couldn't fall back asleep. I finally did, but it took me a long time.

This morning Lauren and I went over to his new place and started unpacking as many boxes as we could before I had to get her to school. I had dropped Jacob off at 7:30 am for Warblers. He always enjoys that. Lauren hates going that early, so I told her that her and I would go back to Brannon's new place and she could look around and help me unpack a few things. She was very good about putting all of his bathroom things away. She arranged his medicine bottles on the counter top. She put his razors in the drawer and put all the extra toilet paper under neath the sink. She was more than happy to put all of his shoes in his bedroom closet. We were going to make his bed, but we had piled clothes all over the place. There was going to be no bed making. His new place is considerably bigger than the old place, with one small exception. The closets. At his old place his bedrooom closet was huge. It was a walk in. The new place has teeny tiny closests. I guess that is part of living in a older place. But it has so much charm. The kitchen is huge. It has a lovely yard, both front and back. Brannon is happy that he doesn't have to mow. Yay for no mowing. That actually would make me a little bit sad, I love to mow the lawn.

Brannon was going to take me out to a very fancy dinner tonight as a thank you for all my hard work. Then my mother called me this morning and asked what we were doing tonight. Whenever she askes me that, I never want to say I have plans (unless I do have something that is just completely etched in stone, like theater tickets that I have already paid for and have hired a babysitter for the kids cause we are going out, or a party where I have already told them I was coming, especially if I am bringing food) because alot of times when mom askes me that, it's because she has something in mind. If I tell her I have tentitive plans, even then she won't always tell me what she had in mind. I am pretty flexible that way, and if given the opportunity, I would love to spend the time with her. Bob has to play tonight but she was really wanting to go downtown for artwalk. But who wants to go eat cheese and drink wine alone? Me either!! I told her I would talk with Brannon but that I was sure that he and I would love to join her. I have never been to an artwalk downtown, it sounds like a lot of fun. I have not to be any of the art galleries downtown. I have been to the art museum (if you can really call it that) near campus, but that's about it.

I could bore you with my lack of knowledge about art, but what fun would that be? I guess the main thing is is that...I don't get it. Half of the time I see this abstract thing and while I might appreciate the beauty in it, I just don't get it. Maybe I'm not supposed to. That's ok. None-the-less, as hard as I have been working the past two days, a little bit of whine and cheese, and some art I don't understand might be a just what the doctor ordered.

Speaking of doctors, I have to see mine on Monday. Seems I am having a few "extra" lovilies since the surgery. Not really sure what is going on exactly, but Jana the nurse said that if it's what she thinks it is, it will continue to be a problem until they fix it. So, I have to go have YET ANOTHER LOVELY exam on Monday morning. What a great way to start the day.

Oh well, I'm on campus, I am going to go study for awhile. I have a test in my management class on Monday, and if I study now while I am on campus, I won't feel guilty for not studying tonight, because the family is GOING OUT!! Should be a fun filled weekend. Going to some friends house on Saturday night for chilli. I love it when our Sunday School class gets together. It is always a lot of fun. Going to get some downtime this weekend too. I am needing it.
