Randomness part II
June 15, 2007 -- 6:15 am
I got shit on by a bird for the first time this week. I was on campus just walking out of Siceluff Hall, and I passed under a tree, and got shit upon. Right on top of my head. It was a lovely experience and I can't wait to do it again...but...not.
My kids have woken up at 6 am, and I am not happy about this. Thankfully they are not out of bed yet, and I am hoping it stays that way for at least the next hour.
I have noticed that I have many hits on this sight, but I have no idea who. Is it the same person over and over again? Or is it actually other people? I know 2 people who read my diary. But I kinda doubt the same 2 people hit this sight 20 times a day. It's not that interesting. Maybe they do. Who knows. I guess I will continue to wonder. Keeps it interesting.
I got much done around the house yesterday. Ok, outside. I didn't spend any time inside yesterday. I mowed the front and back. I got out my clippers and trimmed all the unsightlys outside along my fence line. I woke up without any poison ivy, so this is good. I always worry about that when I clean the fence line. I started to weed eat, but then I ran out of line and just decided that would be a good place to stop, considering I was losing my daylight. Mike and the kids and I went to TGI Friday's last night for dinner. It was good. Then we went to Lowe's and I FINALLY FOUND a light fixture that I like, and it was on sale for 50 dollars less. We didn't buy it because I didn't have time to look at it closely, the kids were each wanting to look at difference things, and I needed to grab some stump killer. I got the stump killer and Mike drilled holes in all the things I want to kill and so we got that done. Lowes didn't have any swing set stuff like we wanted, so we went to home depot and bought a flat round thing that you sit on and swing with. What is it called? A disk or something. The kids like it. We took down the baby swing and stuck that in the pool shed. We have friends and family with small children who will want to swing with that, and the swings are very interchangable, so I am keeping it and not freecycling it. I don't need to freecycle everything I don't use. I know the baby swing will get used again.
I am planning on going back to Lowes this evening and buying the light. What I have now is just not working. And for 50 dollars off, you just can't say no to that. YAY ME, NEW LIGHTS!!!
I took Miles and the kids to Discovery Center yesterday. It was fun. I'm glad we went.
I have a customer coming to the house today to drop off a bracelet and add a strand. That means I get paid today. YAY, I'm all about getting paid. And I have Miles again today, which means I have worked 3 days this week for Dave, I should get paid for that too, if not that will be next week. It's all good. Dave has someone to watch Miles this summer, and that's fine, but she was out of town all week so I got to have Miles. It sure is easier now that they are all older.
Today I am having a chunk-o-leg removed. Steph is picking me up at 3 to take me to St. John's surgery center. I'll be going up to the 3rd floor and meeting with Dr. Geter. Same office as the lady doctor who was going to do my boob job last year. Same group of doctors. I doubt I will even run into her, and even if I did, I really doubt she would remember me. After all, I never did have the surgery.
I still haven't heard anything from St. Johns. What is up with that? Do I need to go and fill out 12 more applications? I will if that is what it is going to take. Who's ass do I have to hunt down and personally kiss to get in? I am not above ass kissing.
And that is all I have today for randomness part II. I do love Andrea Bocelli. There is nothing more yummy than a man in a tux.
